Dalhousie & King's University Bike Centre
The Centre & its rentals are run by students, for our community. We host rides, events, bike sales and rentals as well as a shop for bike repairs!
What We Offer
Repairs
We believe that helping people feel comfortable and confident working on their bike can help them save money, feel empowered, and show how fun and rewarding doing your own repairs can be.
Our well-equipped shop has an inventory of affordable new & used parts and is staffed by knowledgeable mechanics who are happy to show you around, answer questions, and guide you through repairs - come stop by and say hi anytime during our open hours!
Events
Like to bike? So do we! The Society regularly organizes rides of varying lengths in and around the HRM - our rides are a great way to spend time outside and get some exercise while meeting new people and enjoying some of the beautiful places in and around Halifax!
Many are geared towards riders who want to build skills, confidence and familiarity with city riding while others are longer, more challenging, and will appeal more to experienced riders.
Check our instagram for upcoming rides or other events and if you have any ideas for rides or other events shoot us a message there or to our email!
We're always keen to try new things and are actively working to put on more rides and events, hope to see you at some!
Loans
We're stoked to offer free one-week bike rentals to current Dalhousie & King's students!
Book by the steps outlined on the loans tab & pick up your ride from the Centre on the selected day before enjoying a wheel-y fun week of biking 🤠 Just be sure to have it back by the drop off deadline listed with your booking - late returns stop our system from running smoothly and no one wants to pay a fine !
